The Blood King is the long-awaited sequel to The Summoner. It will be released February 1. Both books are part of The Chronicles Of The Necromancer fantasy adventure series published by Solaris Books.
In The Blood King, Tris Drayke races against time to gain the skills he needs to challenge his half-brother Jared for the throne of Margolan and defeat the dark mage Arontala before the Obsidian King can be loosed from the abyss.
The Blood King has already gone into second printing due to strong advance sales. More books are planned in The Chronicles of The Necromancer series, and Martin says she is already working on Dark Haven, book three in the series, scheduled for a 2009 release. The Summoner, the first title in the series, went into its fifth printing in the first year after its release. It remained on the Book Sense bestseller list for over 12 weeks, and garnered high praise from reviewers and readers. The Summoner is Solaris Books' bestselling title of 2007.
The Blood King is published by Solaris Books, a UK-based fantasy and science fiction imprint from BL Publishing, the publishing division of industry-leading tabletop games company, Games Workshop. Learn more at www.ChroniclesOfTheNecromancer.com.
